special needs teachers jobs
Sugarman Education is part of The Sugarman Group, which has been established now for over 20 years. Like the other members of the Group, Sugarman Education provides a specialist recruitment service to the education sector. They have a dedicated team of people to deal with enquiries, and many of the team are infact themselves qualified teachers. The wide range of teaching jobs on their records include class room assistants, welfare officers, learning mentors and also many special needs teachers jobs.
They have a range of teaching jobs on their records varying from primary through to college tutors. As with all vacancies they meet up with all candidates and clients prior to commencing a working relationship to find out their needs and requirements, and to establish exactly what it is that they are looking for. |

Pupil Referral Units
Not all children are able to attend schools. There are several possible reasons for this including behavioural problems, medical problems, teenage mothers & girls that fall pregnant whilst at school, pupils waiting for a school place to become available and children with severe phobias of the school environment. Pupil referral unit jobs (PRU jobs) are available both in units that cater for one particular type of pupil (such as pregnant schoolgirls) and also in mixed units that are designed for a mixture of pupils. PRU’s can offer full or part time placements and teaching jobs are always available up and down the country for those who seek them. The minimum teaching time in a child’s curriculum should be about five hours a week. Young people who have been excluded from mainstream schools should be in full-time education which, for those in key stage four is twenty five hours a week. These special units can also provide external packages and programmes to other establishments including further education colleges, work based trainers and other private bodies. Teachers that have PRU jobs do not have to teach the full national curriculum but do need to include a programme of education that includes maths, English, science and PSHE, as well as career advice after the age of thirteen. |
